ProfQuotes

Just another little wrinkle to think about: students quoting your most memorable musings for the whole world to see. ProfQuotes. I especially like this one:

S.F.: And whoever sings out of tune...I will kill!
(The choir sings)
S.F.: It's difficult to kill 40 sopranos...

There's another off color one about a professor's girlfriend that would be worthy of a scene in a movie if anybody wants to dig a little on the site. (Just scan down a bit on the home page or hit Control-F and look for "nun" without quotes.)

Only problem is that there a LOT of quotes from the same professors...it almost seems like there should be a site where you can just post stupid things that your friends say...such as this gem:
"I've never taken an English class...and I'm never gonna to!"
What is "gonna to" all about? Obviously he needs to take an English class for that. Shaun

Kate,
Check your website for a response to your posting. Here's the link. Kate's famous now with a real audience.

Can I invite some of my rowdy edublogging friends to join us, graduwits and graduwitless, in our discursions (or should I call them excussions)? ~Terry

Terry, it's fine with me. I don't really think much of what I say is very interesting though.
Shaun

Go to Shaun's new site, Captain No-Beard's Pirate Ship. Make him invite you to be a member so that you can contribute to his page, too. Collect blogs. Trade them with your friends. Visit mine, too. Remember: you already have one from my presentation.

For example, Kate has a weblog, katem. Not much of a name, but maybe she will tend to bidness and fix it. She needs to read my comment to her wisdom there.

Terry--check it out my weblog again. It's changed a tiny, tiny bit. And, just for you, I might try to make use of it. I don't know. -- Kate

James Joyce portal

And this for Pog. By the way, the guy who does this site, Jon Barger, has been reported missing in Mexico where he lives. Shades of Judge Crater and Ambrose Bierce.

Burningbird: Best Blog with a Female Spirit

Too bad Lindsey can't/won't get on this weblog, she would like this site with its attendant "bitchiness" that is a feminist attribute we should all acquire, right?

::: wood s lot ::: "the fitful tracing of a portal": "I got a bass drum that's about 59 inches across. It's enormous, it's like hitting a dumpster with a sledge hammer. It'll free ya. (...)

We all have a drum in our chest from the moment we're born. I think music where the tempo is faster than the heartbeat excites you and music that is slower than the heartbeat calms you down. We all have a constant rhythmic beat going on, whether or not you hear it, it's continuing. You feel it all the time whether you acknowledge it or not.
- Tom Waits"

Struck me as a Chrismas-sy thought. Merry Christmas.~Terry
